Stand-Up Hanoi

WHAT. A. SHOW!! We were very proud to host a bill featuring GINA YASHERE, Lynn Ruth Miller & Turner Sparks, and they all absolutely killed it on the Stand-Up Hanoi stage.
Thanks to everybody that came down to support on the night, and thanks also to our sponsors: InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, Pasteur Street Brewing Company & Standing Bar. That's us done for this year, back in the Year of the Dog with comedy that bites.

Tết special: Gina Yashere, Lynn Miller & Turner Sparks

The BIGGEST stand-up comedy line-up EVER seen in Vietnam is just 48 hours away ... get your tickets NOW 🙂

Tết special: Gina Yashere, Lynn Miller & Turner SparksJan 24, 8:00pmStanding BarTết is coming and we are rounding up a huge year for stand-up comedy in Hanoi IN STYLE!

Having already performed in Vietnam to sellout audiences — last year she took both Hanoi and Saigon by storm — indomitable British comic GINA YASHERE will once again be on a mission: to make you laugh! The British correspondent for Comedy Central’s Daily Show, and about to be featured in the Netflix series, Standups Season 2, Gina is hitting big time at the moment. So big that when she’s back in her native London she’s playing to audiences of over 2,000. Here it will be less than 150!

However it gets even better...

LYNN MILLER started comedy & cabaret at 71. She made it to Las Vegas in America’s Got Talent, 2008, won People’s Choice in 2009 Branson Comedy Festival, the finals in Bill Word’s Funniest Female Contest 2009 and semi-finals in the SF International Comedy Competition , the top 100 in Britain’s Got Talent not to mention winning both nights for the Texas Burlesque Festival without taking off anything that matters. 2014 TO&ST winner: best cabaret Edinburgh Fringe.; 2015 Liberty Award Leicester Comedy Festival; 2015 finalist: Old Comedian of 2015: London. At 83, the oldest performing stand-up comic on the circuit, she is still going strong!

And finally, your host for the evening...

Born in California, award-winning comedian TURNER SPARKS started his comedy career in 2009 in Suzhou, China by founding Mainland China's first stand up comedy club, "Kung Fu Komedy". Sparks lived in China from 2004-2016 while he built and created New York’s successful Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck business in the region, the first foreign-owned ice cream truck in China. Now a worldwide performer and a headliner across Asia, Sparks has performed in 15 countries and continues to draw rave reviews with his razor sharp punch lines, quick wit and cross-cultural appeal.
